Good Friday...

Good Friday ended up being quite the day for my family. My cousin Jennifer gave birth to her 8 lb. 13 oz. baby girl but soon after they found that she was having trouble breathing. She has reflux but it appears to be better. They finally got to come home yesterday. About 12 hours later my grandma passed away. It kind of made Easter hard because all the family always meets at her house. We still met, but it just seemed so weird. Chris and I stopped by the funeral home before we went out Sunday. I needed to before the funeral or I knew it'd be harder on me. We went to Chris's aunt Sharon's later that afternoon and it kind of took my mind off things. His step-sister announced that she's 6 weeks along, expecting their second child, so that was good news. His grandmother is so sweet. She just had surgery on her shoulder earlier last week so she has her arm in a sling. Poor thing can't drive for a couple of months so I know it will be hard on her. Please pray for her and her daughters, as they will be taking care of her for a while. Please pray for my dad too. I know everything is really hard on him right now.

That's all I have.

Snufflufugus!!!

The Zoo was a lot of fun, even though it was drizzling all day. And cold. But there were virtually no people there. Chris and I are even more provoked to eventually acquire a large saltwater aquarium with a living coral reef. One of the tanks was absolutely beautiful. I should have brought my camera. I kick myself now for not having it on me. The monkeys were boring though. They all huddled up and had their backs to us. They smelled anyway. The coolest was the snow leopard. I think he was hungry. He was about the only animal that was active. I think we'll have to go back on a nice, sunny day. The Asian elephants were cool as well. They looked like Snufflufugus!! Speaking of... when the heck did they start referring to Snufflufugus as 'Snuffy'?! W-T-F man! Are kids that lazy they can't say his whole name. I'm disappointed.

On another note...

We didn't get out of the dentist's office until setting up an appointment for me as well. So I'm now looking forward to April 28th. *frown* I know my teeth aren't that great. And I know it will be expensive to get done what needs to be done. *frown* Fortunately, my teeth don't bug me or hurt. Just not the greatest in the world. That's all.

so in love...

I definitely married the most perfect man. I love Chris so much. We laugh a LOT together. Even when we do scuffle it's usually over something stupid I've done. Marriage is amazing! I feel sorry for the people who get married and fight all the time and want to go to counselling. Or, maybe I don't. It was their decision to marry them. I don't know. But I do know God answered my prayers for the best husband!

OOOOH!! 122.5 lbs. today! I thought last week I worked out a lot. I did a total of 82.5 miles in 386 minutes for the seven days. And so far this week, in four days I've done a total of 86.8 miles in 369 minutes. 4.3 mile more in 17 fewer minutes. For as much as the bike is geared towards my legs, I can really notice a difference in my back and arms. I guess the cardio workout is doing a good job. I feel so much better, too. I have a ton of energy now. Woo exercise!

memories of childhood...

We got an exercise ball so Chris can bounce around the apartment... literally. He used to have a big ball when he was little and we saw it, so we got it. He's goofy, but oh so cute. Pictures to post later I'm sure!! =D

OH YEAH!! 124 LBS. TODAY!!! Just finished a 35 minute work out so hopefully I'll be 123.5 tomorrow morning.

New Year's Resolution: In Progress

Okay... Chris and I went and got a recumbent stationary bike at Wal*Mart. For the price we paid, we got a great deal. It's magnetic resistance and super quiet. And oh my goodness the workout! I haven't sweat like that since doing field-length sprints for soccer at the end of April. I've decided to do a 30 minute minimum work out on it everyday for a week straight. I might shorten it to 5 days a week after the first week but probably not. I actually enjoy using it. I can sit down, watch tv, and still be productive. Plus, I'm really doing all this so I can avoid heart problems that seem to be abundant in my family. I hit a brick wall around January and got hung up at 126 pounds. I'm down to 125 after two nights of the bike and watching my food. I got some vitamins to help with carbs and fat and I'm drinking a minimum of 10 cups of water a day. Needless to say, I pee a lot!

Pencils down...

I made a Quiz for everyone to take! Take my Quiz! and then Check out the Scoreboard!

I get bored easily and I have this 30 minute break between work and class. *shrug*

a little late addition

I guess I should add a post to this. I took this picture at Christmas when we had our tree up. This is one of the better shots of the ornaments. I took some of Chris in front of the tree but he doesn't like pictures of himself everywhere, nor do I. So I won't be posting any of those.

I'll post later, I promise. Not that many people read this but it gives me some sense that there are people out there. For some weird reason.
